Background

With over 26 years experience in Chinese Martial Arts under coaches Ray George, Chris Ellerker, Li Yan Long and Master Kim Sen Han. In 1988 Andy became a member of the Great Britain Wushu Team, competing Internationally in China, Italy, Germany, France, Holland and Malaysia, as well as Nationally. Captain of the British Team from 1989 to 1996 and assistant coach from 1994 to 1996. Continually training in traditional Chinese fighting arts alongside competition Wushu earning many National and International titles. In 1990 Andy was awarded Black Sash in Chinese Boxing (Ch'ang Ch'uen Shu) later earning his 2nd Dan Black Sash and in 2002 he was awarded his 3rd Degree Black Sash in Ngor Chor (Southern 5 Ancestors) by Master K S Han. Andy also trained in various weapons, including spear, sword, broadsword, 9 section whip and many others.

  • Dragon Cup Gold medalist 1993, 1995 and 2001

  • BCCMA National Gold medalist 1989, 1992, 1995 and 1999
